A man who used to take Viagra to boost his libido is now facing a new lawsuit.
The suit alleges that the drug makers were aware that the Viagra was "dangerous" for their patients, but not for themselves.
The suit is led by a man who is in his 30s, who was taking the drug in 1999 and was also found to be taking the drug for a heart condition.

LONDON—A new study suggests that taking the drug sildenafil may increase the risk of a heart attack and stroke in men who use it. The drug is a prescription medication that’s used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and is sold over the counter in some pharmacies.
The researchers tested the new drug’s safety in more than 50,000 men aged 40 to 80.
The results were published Tuesday inThe British Medical Journal.
They found that taking sildenafil (Viagra) increased the risk of heart attacks and strokes by 1.8 times.
The study also found that taking sildenafil at higher doses did not result in more serious side effects, such as gastrointestinal issues and high blood pressure.
The researchers found that the drug may be able to protect against strokes, heart attacks and other serious cardiovascular problems in men who use it.
Sildenafil has been shown to help people who suffer from ED by relaxing the blood vessels in their heart and increasing the amount of blood your heart does get.
“Our research shows that sildenafil can also increase the chances of a heart attack and stroke in patients who use it,” said the study’s lead author, Professor David Goldhammer. “This new study adds to the growing body of evidence showing that sildenafil could help people who use it to avoid potentially dangerous heart complications.”
The study was funded by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
